How much is Mailigen doing in ARR?
Mailigen is a pure-play SaaS business that charges its customers on a monthly subscription basis. While pricing varies based on number of contacts, the average customer pays them around $83 each month today.
According to CEO Janis Rose, Mailigen now serves 1,500 total customers and is doing $1.5M in ARR at this point in time. The company has grown 40% year over year and is up from around $90k in MRR 12 months ago.
What is Mailigen’s churn?
Churn is critical in any SaaS business and Mailigen has experienced this firsthand. At present, the company is exhibiting 4-5% gross logo churn per month and roughly 4% gross revenue churn monthly, Rose explained.
New customer acquisition has come primarily through referrals from review sites and digital advertising thus far. Mailigen pays approximately $70 to land a new customer right now and receives payback within the first month.
How much has Mailigen raised?
Launched in 2010, Mailigen has grown to scale with just $500k in total outside funding. Rose mentioned that the company is currently in the process of exploring M&A opportunities and are looking to exit in a strategic acquisition. The entire founding team is interested in continuing to work on the company in the long term, but would enjoy the liquidity of an exit.
Mailigen’s team of 25 full-time employees is based in Latvia, Russia, and other remote locations.
